The chemistry between James and Woodley’s characters exudes both on and off the screen, which is probably why the public would assume that the tandem is actually dating in real life. However, Theo James, Shailene Woodley’s relationship is purely platonic. The recent leaked behind-the-scenes clip from their movie franchise, “Divergent,” reveals nothing romantic but rather more on their love for one another as friends.
According to Parent Herald, 31-year-old Theo James said that seeing Shailene Woodley grow together with him through the course of their three-installment movie franchise was completely inspiring. “You kind of watch someone else change and evolve and you change,” says James. The actor also realized that there is a need to constantly pursue change, and that actors always undergo a process of learning and development.
Despite their rumored “romantic relationship,” Theo James, Shailene Woodley have been physically separated after their last movie installment, “Allegiant,” wrapped up a few months ago. The onscreen pair might not be together in any recent films and physically, but their shared interest in dealing with political issues says a lot about the“Divergent” stars.
Inquisitr reports that Theo James has been helping out with the refugee families in Greece. “Theo James traveled to Greece on his first visit with UNHCR ahead of World Refugee Day,” says UNHCR. Not only is James half-Greek, but his grandfather, Dr. Nicholas Taptiklis, was also a refugee during World War II. He fled Greece with the use of the boat and made his way to Damascus, Syria.
Shailene Woodley, on the other hand, was actively participating and campaigning for Bernie Sanders during his run in the political race.
