2013 Zurich Six Day Nights

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights

The 2013 Zurich Six Day Nights will take place from the 27th to the 30th November 2013 at Zurich Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland.

--------------------------------------------------------------

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights - Day Four

A great Swiss track-star, Franco Marvulli, said good-bye to his home-crowd Saturday evening in Zurich – and probably a new one entered the Sixday-scene at the great entrance.

Silvan Dillier, 23 years of age, won the Sixday-Nights together with Belgian top-star Iljo Keisse after a hard fight against the all-Belgian team De Ketele – De Buyst.

A fight which was on from the very first day of the race and which in the final was so hard and intensive, that all other teams more or less were reduced as “extra’s”.

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights

Looking back at the Sixday-Nights 2013 in Zurich we will also remember good performances from the Spanish team Muntaner – Torres and the young Swiss team Küng – Schir, last year winners of the UIV Talents Cup here in Zurich and now already in their first race with the Pro’s able to compete on high level.

We will also remember the farewell of Franco Marvulli, a farewell which unfortunately sure not went out the way Franco and his many fans might have hoped for.

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights

Victory for Caspers – Van Zijl

Caspers – Van Zijl won the UIV Talents Cup in Zurich after four stages. No big surprise, throughout the race they were the strongest team and in the final on Saturday they managed to take one lap from the other team and secure their overall victory. And furthermore they also had the highest amount of points. They fight for second place gave a clear victory to the Swiss team Pasche – Spengler, beating the Danes Helleskov – Bigum with 14 points.

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights - Day Two

The second evening of the Sixday-Nights in Zurich was dominated by the all-Belgian team De Ketele – De Buyst and the Swiss-Belgian combination Dillier – Keisse.

Already halfway in the race it looks very much like a final fight for the victory between those two teams. The Spanish team Muntaner – Torres still holds on, and the Germans Kluge - Lampater (especially Mike Kluge) seemed to have better legs on the second evening.

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights

For local hero Franco Marvulli and his partner Tristan Marguet the situation is still very difficult, and for Marvulli even critical.

It is obvious that he really wants to bring a good performance here in his last race in Zurich, but unfortunately his legs are not able to do, what his head wants them to…

Nice performance from the young Swiss team Küng – Schir, last year winners of the UIV Talents Cup here in Zurich.

They won yesterday the 100 lap Madison at the start of the program with one lap to the rest of the teams. The 200 laps at the end of the program was a case between the three teams Dillier – Keisse, De Ketele – Buyst and Kluge – Lampater, with Dillier – Keisse as the winners.

Overall Standings - Main Competition
1 Kenny de Ketele – Jasper de Buyst (BEL), 134 p.,

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights - Day One

Jasper De Buyst continued his excellent form by following on from his victory at the Ghent Six Day to lead the Zurich Six Day Nights after Day One. Partnered with Kenny De Ketele and riding for the Riposa team, the Belgian duo have 70 points.

Iljo Keisse and Silvan Dillier riding for Lerch&Patner are second on 53 points with the exciting Spanish duo of David Muntaner and Albert Torres third on forty-four points.

2013 Zurich Six Day Nights
